The factory 2GR never cam with good engine hooks. Without any obvious threaded hols, loops, or bolts in the correct places on the top of the block, picking a 2GR up with an engine crane is a pain - not to mention the stress with lifting engine you just spend time and money on building!
We have copied a popular idea from the hotrod world, where they would use the carburetor mounting points to lift the big V8 engines. We have taken this idea and made a lift plate that is custom cut for the 2GR intermediate intake manifold, providing you with an incredibly easy, way of picking up and moving the 2GR around - while staying balance and secure! To make our plates as affordable as possible, we offer them in a basic, raw mild steel finish. We also offer a powder-coated finish in wrinkle black to protect against long term corrosion.
We use these on every swap we do in-house because it saves us time and headache. We also include these with all-out crate motors so it is super easy picking them up off the pallet! If you are planning on having a 2GR, this a must-have easy tool! The standard finish is raw mild steel. This can and will have mild surface rust in humid environments over time.
